Aztech Dental Lab, originally established by Nick Conicella in the modest confines of his basement, embarked on its journey as a dedicated crown and bridge laboratory. With a handful of accounts and an unwavering commitment to quality, Nick laid the foundation for what would become a beacon of excellence in dental solutions.
Just a few years later, the ambition to expand and elevate our services saw Nick joining forces with Bill Fessler. This pivotal partnership prompted a move to a new location at 409 Shadeland Avenue, occupying the second floor, a space that would witness the birth of countless innovations in dental care.
Expansion and Diversification: 1970 & Beyond
The 1970s marked significant milestones for us. Paul Tumminelli and Andria Draves joined the team, bringing fresh energy and ideas. Their contributions were instrumental as we maintained our dedication to crown and bridge services while exploring new horizons.
By 1978, our growth necessitated further expansion. We ventured into new territories by establishing denture and cast partial departments, thanks to the acquisition of the first floor, previously a tailor shop. This evolution reflected our commitment to providing comprehensive dental solutions.
The retirement of Nick and Bill in 1985 opened a new chapter. Andria and Paul, having been integral to our lab’s success, were offered the opportunity to carry forward the legacy. Their stewardship until 2012, and Paul’s solo leadership until 2015, were marked by dedication and the pursuit of excellence.
In 2015, a new era began with Hang taking the helm, followed by our team in 2017. With this transition, we embraced our identity as Aztech Dental Lab, a name that reflects our blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation.

CAD/CAM Technology: Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing improve the design and creation of dental restorations, especially crowns and bridges, offering a more precise fit and faster turnaround time. 3D Printing: Used for creating precise models and even some types of temporary crowns or bridges. Custom Shade Matching: Custom shade and transitioning and Scanning: Providing more accurate impressions than traditional methods, which can lead to better-fitting crowns and bridges.
Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) Crown - we use a traditional approach towards balancing out the strength (metal framework) and the natural appearance (porcelain exterior).
Cantilever Bridges - we use zirconia and PFM to make this bridge. Not recommended for the back of the mouth where they put too much force on other teeth and damage them.
Custom Abutments - We fabricate using CAD/CAM processes which allow for high precision and consistency. The materials used are titanium, zirconia, or a combination.
Full Dentures - These are all made using Acrylic, which is available in multiple colors. For the Denture we also offer custom tray, occlusion tray and combination of both.
